Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her stage surname Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be contracted to J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. On the 21st October of 2016 Pho was released by her the debut EP on the Dreamville Records label. This was when she began to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May of 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut songs online in the year 2012. She released five singles in 2013 and Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. She continued to make music available on the internet including her independently issued single Bound. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes which was released on Sweat It Out on 21 July 2015. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Then, later in the calendar, her songs was circulating through Dreamville. In December, it was revealed 8that she was joined Dreamville Records. Backseat, the track which she co-wrote along with Cozz to record the Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. In October 21, 2016, the artist released her debut album titled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song. She also performed at the opening of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She also appeared as a guest on two songs, with the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas' Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July, 2018. A music video followed by a music video in September. On November 9 she released two additional singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then on November 13 two brand new singles, titled One and Pedigree. One and pedigree. She was featured with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of the 16th of November, and dropped the song as a solo single for her debut album. In February of 2019 the music video was released to accompany the track. It has already received 3 million viewers on YouTube in its first week. In December 2018 the singer was a part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
